Business Spanish Certificate

Objective

This certificate program is designed to provide business students with the needed knowledge to be able to converse in Spanish with business people who are from Spanish-speaking backgrounds. The special feature of this program is a course that will prepare students for potential business situations they might encounter with Spanish-speaking customers, employees, and managers.

BUS 100 - The Business Experience Credits: 3
SPAN 204 - Intermediate Spanish II Credits: 4

SPAN 308 - Spanish for Service Professionals Credits: 3
SPAN 309 - Latinx Studies Credits: 3

One Course From the Following Options:

SPAN 230 - Spain: Studies in Culture and Society Credits: 4
SPAN 231 - Latin America: Studies in Culture & Soc Credits: 4

Capstone Course

MGT 335 - Spanish Communication in Business, Transactions Credits: 3

Note:

Candidates for the certificate must complete at least one-half of the credits, including MGT 335 , at Valparaiso University.
