Asian Studies Concentration Requirements (Minimum 21 Cr.)

Choose 18 credits in the following list of electives, from at least two different disciplines, in consultation with the Asian Studies advisor: Degree Map
Credits: 124-125 2022-2023 * Students who place into higher levels of the languges may satisfy the language requirement by studying abroad (for both Chinese and Japanese) or taking CHIN 305 , offered on a as-necessary basis. * Students may satisfy language and other Asian Studies requirements through study abroad programs by carefully planning their program of study with their academic advisor and the Office of Global Education. * Courses taken to fulfill major requirements may be presented in fulfillment of General Education Requirements where applicable (ASIA 140 always satisfies the Cultural Diversity requirement). If a student is pursuing an additional major or minor and there are overlapping courses, the following restrictions apply: An additional major requires at least four courses of at least three credits each beyond those courses in Asian Studies. An additional minor requires at least two courses of at least three credits each beyond those courses in Asian Studies. Fall: Semester 5
