Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Students who choose the Business Administration degree may select from six majors: Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Management, Marketing, or Sports Management.

Freshman VUE Program: 8 Cr.
Writing Intensive Course (WIC): 3 Cr.
Writing in the Discipline (WID): 3 Cr.
Capstone Writing Assignment (CWA)
The Capstone Writing Assignment (CWA) requirement may be fulfilled by completing a department-designated assignment, often assigned in capstone courses. Senior standing recommended. Cultural Diversity: 7-8 Cr.
World Language (4 cr.) - A course numbered 102 or higher in a world language in which the student has more than one year of high school credit
- A course numbered 101 or higher in a world language which the student has not taken before
- For nonimmigrant visa international students whose native language is not English, there is no world language requirement providing they have completed ENGL 101 , ENGL 102 , ENGL 103 , or ENGL 200 Literary Studies
Cultural Diversity or World Language (3-4 cr) - Take a course from either world languages at the 102 level or above or from the diversity list beginning on General Education Requirements.
One Course From the Following Options:
- Fine and Performing Arts
- History
- Literature
- Philosophy (except PHIL 145)
Health and Wellness: 1 Cr.
Quantitative Analysis: 6-7 Cr.
Total General Education: 47-50 Cr.
Freshman/Sophomore Core Courses
Total Credits: 17* Cr.
The 3 credits of BUS 205 are counted in General Education. Junior/Senior Core Courses
One Course From the Following Options:
Total Business Core: 41-42 Cr.
Notes:
- The free electives in the BSBA degree for the majors of Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, and Sports Management vary depending upon whether the student takes a 3 or 4 credit natural sciences, cultural diversity, and quantitative analysis courses (with lab). If a student takes 3-credit courses, then the student has the greater value for free electives; if a student takes 4 credit courses , then the student has the lesser value for free electives.
- No more than six credits combined from performance music, ensemble music, and KIN 100 - KIN 149 may be applied toward a degree; one credit is applied directly to KIN 100 , up to three credits can be applied toward the Humanities Fine and Performing Arts, and any excess credits are applied as free electives.
- No more than six credits from cooperative education and/or internship may be applied toward the degree; two credits are applied directly to cooperative education and/or internship requirement and any excess credits are applied as free electives.
