PHIL 120 - Culture, Identity and Values Credits: 3 A study of the basic assumptions and arguments that underlie and support treating identity and culture as distinct categories and moral goods. Topics may relate to the nature of personal identity and collective belonging, the implications they have for the idea of a universal human nature, and the limits of society’s obligation to protect personal expression.
General Education: May be used to fulfill the Cultural Diversity or Humanities: Philosophy General Education Requirement.
