This course covers the philosophical and aesthetic underpinnings of contemporary arts and culture. It takes a survey approach by looking at the historical movements which developed, were embraced, abandoned, or reordered on the way to the present moment. A significant amount of the course will focus on modern and contemporary art movements.

General Education: May be used to fulfill the Humanities: Fine Arts component of the General Education Requirements.
