PA 560 - Foundations of the Health Care System

Examines the infrastructure of the current U.S. health care system and contrasts it with other models. The focus is on administrative topics related to health care including infrastructure, financing, third party payers, the role of the federal and state governments in health care, as well as the role of politics in the regulation and distribution of health care. Global health care topics will also be introduced. S/U grade.
