This is the first in a year-long series of courses aimed at engaging students in the artful practice of medicine, focusing on foundational skills including professional interpersonal communication, principled patient care, the public health perspective, culturally-aware practice and the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the approach to providing health care. Ethical and legal issues in health care will also be addressed. S/U grade.
