Fieldwork seminar consists of guided learning experiences in various health care and/or community settings. Students directly observe and interact with clients engaging in purposeful activities related to therapeutic use of self and group interactions. Specific assignments are designed to enhance the learning experience and understanding of beginning psychosocial practice. Students must complete required hours in the designated setting. Seminar portion of the class allows students to discuss their experiences and begin to understand professional reasoning.
