ENGL 544 - Sociolingustics:language Across Cultures Credits: 1 Maximum Credits: 3 A variable topics course which considers intersections of language, social structure, and culture, with emphasis on the study of linguistic and cultural diversity. Possible topics include the study of language variation cross-culturally on a global scale and the study of language variation cross-culturally in the U.S. May be repeated when topics differ.
