XS 450 - Certified Personal Training Credits: 3 Credit Configuration: 2+2, 3 Cr.
This course has been designed to prepare students who are pursuing certification, although on an optional basis, from the National Council of Strength and Fitness (NCSF) as a Certified Personal Trainer. The course assists students in establishing a solid foundation for further studies in a diverse array of health and fitness-related fields, including exercise physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition. Special emphasis is placed on a wide range of exercises within the health and fitness domain, and their assessment and prescription are also introduced.
Prerequisite(s): XS 277 and XS 370
