HIST 228 - Baseball and American History Credits: 3 This course uses the sport of baseball to explore aspects of nineteenth- and twentieth-century American history. Course themes include immigration, segregation, women’s rights, patriotism, imperialism, and globalization, as well as major developments in baseball like the reserve rule, the rise of free agency, and labor issues.
General Education: May be used to fulfill the Humanities: History component of General Education Requirements.
