ED 465 - Assessment, Instruction, & Intervention


Credits: 3
This course focuses on assessment of reading skills for all readers, with an emphasis on struggling readers and those with reading disabilities. We will use data-based decision making to guide instructional planning and intervention design. Specifically, students will learn to apply both formal and informal assessments to a problem-solving model aimed at the design of robust reading instruction. An emphasis will be placed on creating Multi-tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) to support all students.

Corequisite(s): ED 470  and SPED 440 .
