MUS 164 - Music Theory II Credits: 3 A continuation of MUS 163 . Topics include secondary chords, applied chords, tonicization, and modulation. The study of small formal units/forms such as period and sentence structure, binary forms, and variations is integrated with the study of harmony. Emphasis is on analysis, part-writing, and composition.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of C- or higher in MUS 163 .
