General Degree Requirements

Major Requirements (Minimum 30 Cr.)
Two 100-level courses. Either HIST 120 or HIST 121 can be used, but not both.
Take one course from the following options:
Additional Required History Courses:
At least fifteen (15) more credits with no more than three (3) credits from the 100-level or 200-level, and at least twelve (12) credits from the 300-level or 400-level. Students must take at least one course in each of the following fields:
- History of the Americas
- European History
- Global History
Note:
HIST 390 or HIST 492 may be used to fulfill a field requirement if the topic is appropriate. Students who plan on graduate work in history are strongly urged to acquire reading proficiency in at least one modern world language. Degree Map
