Theology and Ethics: 3 Cr.

Religions of the World: 3 Cr.

  • One Theology course numbered 360-369
Research and Writing in the Discipline: 4 Cr.

Seminar: 3 Cr.

Ministry Courses: 6 Cr.


Pre-Professional Study: 6 Cr.


Electives in Complementary Disciplines: 15 Cr.

13 Six of these credits are met through General Education requirements, (e.g., THEO 200  and a 300-level THEO course).
14 15 credits in related disciplines that complement the student’s ministry objectives.
15 PSY 110  is a prerequisite for ED 220 , but may not be counted among courses for this major

PSY 110  is a prerequisite for all psychology courses but may not be counted among courses for this major.

SOC 110  is a prerequisite for all 300-level sociology courses but may not be counted among courses for this major.

SPAN 220 , SPAN 230 , or SPAN 231  is a prerequisite for SPAN 308 , but may not be counted among courses for this major.

Students broaden their contextual knowledge of ministry by taking a minimum of 15 credits in one or more complementary disciplines as listed above. Alternative courses are permitted for the sake of specific professional objectives with the approval of the student’s academic advisor and the chair of the Department of Theology.

Courses taken for this major may not be counted for credit toward a minor or a second major.
