STAT 140 - General Statistics Credits: 3 A non-calculus-based introduction to the major concepts and tools for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. Students are exposed to four broad conceptual themes: planning a study; exploring data; anticipating patterns; and statistical inference. Not open to students with credit for STAT 240 , BUS 205 , PSY 201 , or CE 202 .
Prerequisite(s): MATH 110 , MATH 125 , or placement higher than MATH 110 in the Math Placement process. General Education: This course may be used to fulfill the Quantitative Analysis component of the General Education Requirements.
