ED 206 - School and Society Credits: 3 This course provides an overview of the complex relationships between schools and the societies they serve. It is for teacher education students as well as for those who are interested in important issues and problems related to education. This course provides students with an historic overview of the cultural and economic forces that have shaped the purposes and practices of schooling in the United States and considers their impact on contemporary issues in education.
General Education: May be used to partially fulfill the Social Sciences component of the General Education requirements.
