MATH 453 - Topology Credits: 3 Introduces students to topological spaces, open and closed sets, continuous functions, limit points, and homeomorphisms. Topics also include properties of spaces, such as connectedness and path-connectedness. Additional topics could consist of applications of topology, such as knot theory and 2-D manifolds. Usually offered in the spring semester of odd-numbered years.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 266 .
