KIN 227 - Obesity in America Credits: 3 This course will examine the development, science, prevention, and treatment of adult and childhood obesity in society. The course will also review common contributors, consequences, and methods of prevention of excess weight gain and obesity. Through current research and discussion, the students will be provided with current trends, guidelines, and recommendations relating to diet, physical activity, and health behavior in healthy, overweight, and obese populations.
