HIST 329 - Revolution! Insurgence in Latin America, Century Latin America Credits: 3 Why is “social change” such a common notion, yet revolutions are so rare? This course draws upon interdisciplinary theories of revolution and examines conditions and social forces that may lead to-or inhibit-revolution. Case studies include both “successful” revolutions and “failed” efforts, from Mexico to Cuba, Nicaragua to Argentina, and beyond.
General Education: May be used to fulfill the Cultural Diversity course component of the General Education Requirements.
