ENGL 344 - Sociolinguistics:languag Across Cultures Credits: 3 This course considers intersections of language, social structure, and culture, with emphasis on the study of linguistic and cultural diversity, and language variation cross-culturally on a global scale and in the U.S. Attention is given to the significance of linguistic and cultural diversity in applied contexts, such as language use in educational settings.
General Education: May be used to fulfill the Cultural Diversity component or part of the Social Sciences component of the General Education Requirements.
