WLC 493 - Senior Seminar in World Lang & Cultr Credits: 3 A senior-level capstone course which integrates knowledge and skills from previous courses in the Department of World Languages and Cultures. Writing and reading skills in a target language are refined. Depth and nuance are added to the understanding of the history, literature, culture, and contemporary events of the student’s major area of study. A thematic focus and a comparative approach help students to see the major culture of study in a broader context, through interactions with students from other majors in the Department. A combination of English and the relevant target languages may be used.
Prerequisite(s): senior standing and department chair approval.
