THTR 235 - Acting I Credits: 3 Credit Configuration: 2+2, 3 Cr.
An introduction to basic acting technique. Students examine ways to construct the interior, physical, and vocal life of a character and learn warm-up procedures, rehearsal strategies, and staging principles. Experiences include scene study and character analysis; performance of monologues and improvisations; field trips. Offered spring semester.
General Education: May be used to fulfill the Humanities: Fine and Performing Arts component of the General Education Requirements.
