MUS 264 - Music Theory Iv: Post-Tonal Credits: 3 An analytical and creative study of seminal works of Western art music of the 20th century. The works studied represent a wide variety of techniques and aesthetics including impressionism, free atonality, serialism, constructed modes, algorithmic music, micropolyphony and sound mass, minimalism, indeterminacy, and spectralism.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of C- or higher in MUS 263 .
